What do you do when you get hit by a snow blizzard? Snow angels of course!

And I thought Spring was here!

On Thursday, snow hit our city with a vengeance. I left work early afternoon to pick up Emily from daycare then head home. What it usually takes me half an hour, took one and half hour to get home. The rest of the day was spent indoors while outside snow kept blowing away furiously and temperatures kept dropping by the minute. By Friday morning, roads were icy and still very very cold that we decided to skip work and daycare and have a 3 day weekend (thank you boss). Dadda went out to shovel the driveway and Emily wanted to go sledding. Baby is cold outside! so I convinced her to go later when the sun was a little bit higher. By 11 am, she couldn’t take it any longer and armed with snow pants, coat, hat, gloves and scarf we brave the cold to take a glimpse outside. The sun was peaking thru but it was still cold and windy. She was having a blast jumping on the fresh fallen snow, running thru the ice patches of snow and making snow angels on the ground.

After 20 minutes of outside temperatures I was ready to go warm up indoors but she did not want to come with me, although her nose was running and her cheeks were red. We played for another 20 minutes until I could not take it anymore. I know, I’m a whimpee mom!
