We are in Guangzhou

Arriving in Guangzhou

We said our good byes to Taiyuan City, were Nathan was born and bordered our flight to much warmer weather. The flight was 2 hours and 20 minutes only and they played and watched a movie and nap came only on the last 15 minutes of the flight. Oh well. Once outside the tarmac, we were hit with the 86 degrees weather + humidity. The air was hot and did I say humid? After our morning in Taiyuan with 25 degrees cold weather, I can take anything else higher than that! The weather network said it would be 86 for the next 2 days, then rainy and much cooler for the rest of the week.

Guangzhou city is tropical and very green. It reminds me of San Diego. The air is much cleaner and did I said, greener? There are palm trees, robust plants and it's green everywhere you look. We checked into the China Hotel then look for a place for a quick dinner. We didn't venture past half a block when we found One Thousand and one night's restaurant. An Arabic restaurant. It was so good! Although, Nathan was more interested on the Tom and Jerry cartoons they were playing on TV than the french fries and chicken wings we ordered for him. After dinner, we stopped at the 7-11 for ice cream dessert, water and a few snacks. Tomorrow, we will go to the medical examination office for vaccinations and TB test. Wish us luck! We will definitely need it!

Yes, these pictures are about pillow fighting with his sister. They take a pillow and use it as a horse, then jump on top of the bed. Oh well, better here at the hotel than at my house! More pictures here!
